1. Scope of Google OAuth Permissions
BirrWise integrates with Google OAuth services strictly to facilitate authentication and access controls. We request access only to standard non-sensitive basic profile scopes: your name, email address, and profile picture avatar.
2. Processing & Session Storage Purpose
The profile elements extracted during the Google OAuth sequence are used exclusively for:
- Provisioning user-scoped financial ledgers and setting default currency preferences (ETB, USD, EUR).
- Handling server-side session serialization and encrypted cookies for secure access to the BirrWise dashboard.
- Safeguarding database records and isolating tables via PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS).
3. Telemetry and Third-Party Data Sharing
BirrWise enforces a strict data privacy policy. Under no circumstances do we sell, lease, disclose, or distribute user transactional ledger contents, profile details, or authentication keys to third-party entities, advertising brokers, or external analytics firms.
4. Security Measures & Data Retention
All session tokens, encryption keys, and profile schemas are protected with database security gates. Ledger modification access is strictly bounded by user identity mapping, preventing cross-user data leakage. Users may request full account deletion and ledger wipe at any time through their settings.
